Dani founded The Big Paws Little Paws Co. in September 2017. 

With a deep passion for dogs and a commitment to continuous learning, she strives to provide the highest standard of care for both dogs and their guardians.

Her approach is holistic and tailored, considering every aspect of a dog’s wellbeing — including diet, training, environment, routine, emotions, physical health, and energy balance. Dani believes this all-encompassing perspective should be the benchmark for every pet care professional.

She is highly experienced, qualified and dedicated to professional development, holding:

My love for animals started long before I ever picked up a pair of grooming scissors.

I grew up surrounded by animals and nature, spending time helping my dad on the farm where he worked. Animals have always been a huge part of my world, and my childhood best friend was our Border Collie, Lucky. 

I think those early years shaped so much of the person, and the groomer, I am today.

I began my dog grooming journey in 2017, turning that lifelong love of animals into a career. Fast forward to today and my own life is very much ruled by dogs! 

I’m proudly owned by Millie, Lexie, Milo, Gracie, Nala and Chester, alongside the memory of my beautiful rainbow angel, Phoebe.

Outside of grooming, spirituality and my connection with nature are a huge part of who I am.

In 2026, I completed three years of spiritual training and became a High Priestess within my Pagan path. For me, being a High Priestess isn’t simply a title. It represents a commitment to continued learning and personal growth, working with the cycles and elements of nature, and using what I have learned to support and empower others. Community is an important part of my path: creating safe spaces, sharing knowledge, holding space for people when they need it and helping others explore their own connection with themselves, nature and spirituality. It is very much about service as well as self-development, and living my spiritual practice rather than simply studying it.

I love working with energy and exploring the deeper connection we can have with animals. I’m a Reiki Master Teacher, a developing channeller, and I’m continuing to deepen my practice of animal communication. This naturally filters into the way I work with dogs too. I pay attention to the whole dog: their body language, emotions, energy, boundaries and what they are communicating in that moment.

My happiest place will always be outdoors with my dogs and my husband, exploring our beautiful country, walking somewhere wild, discovering new places and reconnecting with the elements. 

One of the biggest things I believe is that every day gives us an opportunity to become a better version of ourselves. In life and in the salon, 

I will always choose progress over perfection.

And perhaps one of the greatest lessons my dogs have taught me is something I try to carry through everything I do:

Live in the moment, appreciate what is in front of you, and lead with love. 

 Fallon has spent the past three years with us as a dedicated stylist assistant and is now expanding her expertise as she continues her training in professional dog styling. 

With a Level 2 Certificate in Animal Nursing Assistance, Level 3 Advanced Technical Animal Management, Canine First Aid training, and over 3 years of hands-on salon experience, Fallon is a skilled and passionate pet professional committed to delivering the highest standard of care. 

 Kara joined us in Autumn 2023 to gain hands-on experience in the grooming salon ahead of starting college in 2024. With aspirations of becoming a fully qualified stylist, she has been developing her skills and confidence, laying strong foundations for her career in professional grooming. Now having completed her second year of college with full distinctions in her animal management course and Student of the Year Award, she is now progressing through her stylist training, having registered as a IPG member with sights on becoming a Certified Professional Groomer by the end of 2026. Kara is building the knowledge and expertise needed to become a well-rounded grooming professional.
