“The WildWash Story
WildWash was founded by Andrew and Jane Cooper, whose love for pets led them to open a pet boutique and pet spa over a decade and a half ago, When Jane, a professional groomer, became pregnant, she was concerned at the number of unnamed chemicals in the products she was using every day. With limited information available on ingredient listing, Jane and Andrew decided to develop their own range of natural products in which they could be confident.
They were passionate about creating a brilliantly effective range that would be as good in every way as the highest quality human products available and was delighted to partner with an acclaimed independent boutique apothecary based in the UK who were responsible for some of the finest human products produced. This apothecary, who is also one of the top ten natural fragrance apothecaries in the world, embraced their project with a passion. Committed to quality, they created products that are hand blended, and hand stirred, using a diverse and holistic mixture of plants, botanicals, and essential oils to create complex and beautifully fragranced natural products that truly work.
At WildWash, the team believes that animals and humans deserve the same quality cosmetics, and they pride themselves on being as transparent as possible. For every product, they provide a full ingredients list, which confirms that the products contain no parabens, phthalates, phosphates, petrochemicals, sulphates, palm oils, or PEGs. They use 100% pure essential oils and guarantee that none of their products have been tested on animals. This consideration and strong moral compass have earned WildWash ethical accreditation and created countless satisfied customers.
WildWash is now the trusted, go-to natural brand used by groomers, pet owners, and vets around the globe.” – www.wildwash.co.uk
When we opened The Big paws Little Paws Co, we only ever wanted to use the best natural products available and WildWash is so far ahead of other products on the market in terms of quality, this is why we haven’t changed brands in 8 years. Skin care is such a big part of the grooming process so ensuring we are only putting the most gentle and nourishing products on your, dogs’ skin is extremely important, and we will never compromise on the quality of products we use.
The tools and equipment we have in our salon have not been scrimped on either, all 3 of our tables are able to be lowered electronically to the floor meaning there is no bumping or jerking whilst your dog is on the table, and should they be a little nervous of heights it is no problem as we can work at a lower level to suit their needs. Fitted with a non-slip top as standard we then use cushion mats to provide a softer platform for your dog to sit, stand or lay on.
We are the extremely proud owners of two hydro spa pro baths, these systems run on their own heaters meaning we can adjust the temperature to your dogs own individual requirement. Not only this but we are able to adjust the pressure on our hoses meaning we can get through the toughest of double coats or be gentle and light for our tiny puppies. We mix our shampoo directly into the system meaning your dog gets the perfect clean coat in a reduced amount of time, making our baths perfect for those dogs who do not like the bathing process as much.
Dani is constantly on the lookout for the latest clippers offering less vibration, noise, weight along with all the other tools of the trade. To say we are constantly striving to be better is an understatement.
Brand New for 2025 we are introducing Photizo red and infrared light therapy to the salon! The Photizo Vetcare offers a complimentary, non-invasive and effective treatment for numerous conditions including arthritis.
Whether your dog is absolutely amazing for being groomed and loves the attention, or they need time to desensitise and build up their confidence, or have addition needs due to their physical ailments, our team are here to help, advise and accommodate.
Just give us a call and we are happy to chat.

By law under the Control of Dogs Order 1992, it is required that your dog wears a collar or harness complete with an ID tag.
Please wait for a text or call to confirm your dog is ready for collection. Arriving early can unsettle your dog and cause delays for our appointments. Repeatedly trying to collect your dog before being contacted risks service refusal.
We give you 30 minutes to collect your dog after we send the collection text or call you. Additional care charges, at £7 per 15 minutes, will be applied for time over the 30 minutes.
While we always aim to stay on schedule, working with animals can be unpredictable. We kindly request that you take your dog to the toilet before bringing them in for their appointment and avoid feeding them until after their grooming is complete. This will help us reduce the number of accidents to deal with in the salon.
Please let us know the accurate condition of your dog's coat when making an appointment.
Dogs presented to the groomer matted will be assessed and additional fees will be added to the standard appointment fee. Please make sure to keep your dog's coat in good condition prior to the appointment to avoid any inconvenience. Our initial matting fee is £15 with additional time over the allocated appointment time £7 per 15 minutes.
Matted coats can be uncomfortable for your furry friends. We reserve the right to prioritize their welfare and stop the grooming process at any time. Please note, all fees will still be charged.
Severely matted dogs: We treat each case with care and attention, but please note that there may be additional charges (from £100, depending on the size of your dog) for severely matted dogs. Any dogs that are seen to be a high risk will be referred to your vet for assessment.
The Big Paws Little Paws Co, is not responsible for any incidents, harm or sickness caused by removing matted hair due to lack of coat maintenance.
Clients who frequently bring their dogs with matted coats and do not have a regular schedule to avoid this from happening will not be accommodated.
We do not tolerate fleas, worms, mites, or any zoonotic diseases that could be transmitted between animals and humans.
Should your dog have any of the symptoms mentioned above, a fumigation/disinfection fee will be added to your bill. Please note that we cannot keep your dog in our salon and the appointment will be terminated if we identify any of these symptoms at any stage of the groom. In this case, you will need to collect your dog immediately. Please be aware that the appointment fee will still be charged along with a fumigation fee of £35.
Female dogs who are in seasons are not permitted into the salon, you must cancel your appointment on the first day of bleeding and rebook for no earlier than 3 weeks or 1 week from the last sighting of bleeding. Pregnant or recently birthed bitches are also not permitted in to the salon until any puppies have been fully weaned.
Please be honest with us.
Dog guardians with animals that have reactivity to other dogs, behavioural issues or pose a bite risk must be transparent with our team to keep everyone safe. We do have safety equipment to keep the dogs and ourselves safe, however, if we are not aware of your dog's behaviour or if it is unpredictable, The Big Paws Little Paws Co cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injuries caused by your dog’s behaviour and all liability will be accepted by the guardian.
Dogs that have a bite risk will be charged higher fees than our standard grooming prices.

Desensitising sessions: £20 PER 15 MINUTES. All-inclusive: Environment, teeth cleaning, tools, table work, and more.
We want every dog to achieve their full potential.
To ensure that we can help dogs with behavioural issues or nervousness/anxiety, we request that clients commit to a 6 week schedule. As every dog is unique, we cannot predict how long it will take for them to adjust to the grooming process, but we strongly recommend training at home to supplement our work. If a schedule is not met, we may refuse further service, as we want to help as many dogs as possible.
Should we find a serious health concern for your dog during grooming we may require a vet consent letter before we offer service again.
To ensure we're always there for your furry friend, we store any information you provide in compliance with GDPR regulations. Rest assured that your dog's grooming records and our communication with you will always be handled with care.
In case of any medical emergency during your pet's stay with us, we will provide first aid and consult with your vet. Our priority will always be your pet and we will keep you informed. Please note that we are not liable for any non-grooming related emergencies that are a result of underlying health conditions. Our clients are responsible for their pets' veterinary care.
Your dog deserves the best care. To help us ensure that they receive it, please make sure that your furry friend is registered at a veterinary practice and provide us with the relevant details for our records.
Please refer to our website for our Pet Taxi Service terms and conditions when transporting your furry friend to the salon.
We take photos and videos of our grooms and daily activities, assuming all clients are happy for their dog to feature on our social media, website and other marketing platforms under our copyright. Let us know if you prefer otherwise.
When leaving our salon, please ensure that your dog’s collar or harness is securely fastened. We want to make sure that your dog stays safe and sound, and look forward to your next visit.
