Pet Transport Service

 At The Big Paws Little Paws Co we understand that getting your pet to and from their veterinary appointment can sometimes be a challenge, especially if you don’t drive, have a disability or just need to get them there quickly & safely.  Our team are dedicated to providing the best service for our clients. We are able to transport 1 passenger with their pet to and from a veterinary practice or hospital whilst your pet is on board, please bare in mind it is only possible for you to come in the van with your pet if only 1 member of our team are required to transport your pet.   If you are pre-booking a routine appointment and unsure when we are available to take your pet, by giving your veterinary practice permission to discuss your pets appointment with us we are able to schedule an appointment which works with our diary. This saves you so much time being backwards and forwards with the reception team and risk of loosing your appointment time. 

 We totally get it—life can get hectic, and juggling your schedule to get your furry friends to their grooming, hydrotherapy, or day care appointments can be a bit of a challenge. With our DEFRA Type 1 licence, we’re fully equipped to ensure your furry friend travels safely and comfortably with us for up to 8 hours. 

From the moment we pick up your pet to the moment we drop them off, your pet's well-being is our top priority. Pricing for our pet courier service is based on £25 per hour plus the cost of fuel - Monday-Friday and £35 per hour plus the cost of fuel Saturday & Sunday. 

For emergency transport within 48 hours notice, where available is based on £40 per hour plus the cost of fuel Monday-Friday and £50 per hour plus the cost of fuel Saturday & Sunday. 

Our prices are based on a complete journey from base back to base. For a quote please send us postcodes of the collection address and the drop off address. Extra charges will be incurred should we encounter any delays. 

When the time comes for our beloved pets to cross that rainbow bridge, it is something we never want to think about, but at some point in their lives this time sadly comes. 

Once our time in this world is done, our souls pass on whilst our body’s remain on this Earth. Our pets cannot tell us what kind of send off they would prefer, it’s down to us to make that choice. 

It’s important we know the services that are available to us so we can make the right choices for ourselves before the day comes and we possibly make the wrong ones out of grief and hurt. 

Whilst many choose for their veterinary surgery to make arrangements for their pets body, we have discovered there are private pet crematoriums who offer a true 121 service and guarantee that your pet is cremated solo. These services are averagely carried out within 24 hours which also means you can begin grieving for your pet without waiting weeks to have their ashes returned to you. 

We can now offer a package where we make all the arrangements and provide the transport for your pet, taking the stress and worry out of your pets passing.

Our packages include:

🐾 Booking of the private crematorium 

🐾 Collection & transportation of your pet from home or your veterinary practice

🐾 Personal delivery of your pets ashes in a scatter tube once the cremation has taken place. We aim to have your pets ashes back with you within 24-48 hours but this may be delayed due to weekends and bank holidays or we may be able to offer same day service in some circumstances. 

🐾 Personal touches such as locks of hair, separate packets of ashes for keep sake jewellery are included 

🐾 Caskets & personalised boxes are available at additional costs. 

Our fees include, cost of cremation paid to the crematorium, our standard handling & transport fee of deceased pet and service charge for our funeral service.
